ostinato
the performance project by gn|mc proposes a short yet intense creation process, in which participants navigate the vocabulary developed through the company’s ongoing research. this exploration unfolds primarily through partnering practices and group dynamics, forming a journey of multiple possibilities, shaped by mutual complicity. participants continually challenge gravity, experimenting with diverse strategies of cooperation in order to collectively construct a shared playground. through high-precision partnering work and dynamic constellations that emphasize the emergence of a singular mass of bodies, gn|mc offers a perceptual experience grounded in persistence and perseverance. the work evokes a sense of an eternal present, rooted in patterns of repetition and accumulation, generating complex mechanisms in both space and time.
the description reflects an artist’s idea which was developed at the time it was submitted to b12. it may have changed by the time the workshop or the performance project is starting. please stay flexible. thank you!
