CONTEMPORARY UNDERGROUND
attila's workshops are focused on helping participants explore different energies and dynamic qualities through improvisation. the classes encourage dancers to connect to their senses and find a natural flow in their movements. music plays an important role in the workshop, offering a guiding rhythm throughout the session. in addition to the physical exploration, the workshops also aim to create an open and supportive environment where participants can take risks and experiment with their personal movement style. the emphasis is on finding authentic expression, encouraging each dancer to tap into their unique creative potential. whether you are a performer or a hobby dancer, the workshops offer something for everyone, blending technique with artistic freedom.

biography
attila began his training at the hungarian dance academy and soon performed with several hungarian companies, including inversedance–zoltán fodor, gangaray dance company, pr-evolution, central european dance theatre, and éva duda dance company. in 2013, he joined kwaad bloed/ugo dehaes in belgium for grafted, then moved to the uk as an apprentice with hofesh shechter company. the one-year offer became eight years, during which he performed internationally, taught workshops, and assisted shechter in a creation for göteborgoperans danskompani. he created his first choreography in 2019 for nuova officina della danza in torino. since 2021, he has worked freelance, teaching, performing, and judging at various international dance festivals. he performed in projects with hodworks (amber), lyon opera house (le messie), frenák company (in time), and sita ostheimer company (the inevitable and you). in 2022, he created i shall be free for éva duda dance company, and in 2023 returned to hofesh shechter company for double murder as rehearsal assistant and performer. in 2024, he premiered burden, created with roland géczy, in warsaw; the piece was later presented in 2025 at theater osnabrück and will appear at szkéné theatre in budapest. he also developed a new duet, zárt ajtók, with erika vasas under vasas művek, supported by nka, premiering at the hungarian national dance theatre and returning later in the year.
